It is commonly said that opposites attract.
That may be true on some level. But, more often than not we're attracted
to those with whom we have something in common.
We want someone who understands us and enjoys the same things we do. This concept is true in human to human relationships
and human to animal relationships. We can all recall at some point
seeing images of a curious child with his equally curious puppy exploring
the world together. Or, the old man relaxing on the front porch with
