Smokey is
a geriatric, black male cat. A Good Samaritan brought him to
our clinic after he approached her in a gas station parking
lot. On a whim, we scanned him for a microchip and found (to
our surprise) that he was chipped! We called Home Again and they
gave us the contact information for his owner. When we finally
got in touch with her she was absolutely flabbergasted – she lives nowhere
near Atlanta. She lives half of the year in Illinois and the
other half in Florida. Last winter a maintenance worker accidentally
let Smokey out of the owner’s house in Florida. Smokey
was never seen again. After a few months, Smokey’s owners
thought that he would never return and found a new cat to keep
them company. The owner is unable to take Smokey back but has
provided vet records. He is not up to date on vaccines since
he has been missing for over six months, but he has been “well
vetted” his
entire life. Smokey is a little thin, but loves attention and
is very affectionate. If you are interested in Smokey, please
