Pocky is a sweet and loving twelve-ish year old shih tzu. When the last child in Pocky's family went off to college and he started to show signs of his age, his family dumped him at a local county shelter. Since he was a senior with some health problems, he had very little chance of making it out of the shelter. Luckily, Pocky joined the Silver Paws family. He spent a few weeks with a transitional foster while he got healthy, which included some minor surgeries and dental work. Now, Pocky is spending his retirement in a loving home, being spoiled rotten by his new mom, Anna.

In June 2010 we had to bid farewell to little Pocky.  We will miss him as part of our Silver Paws family.  His "golden years" were truly made golden by Anna.  She loved and cared for him and he made her life richer, as she did his, until the very end.  Goodbye Pocky and bless you Anna.
